Top Tip Thursday: Stay one step ahead of cyber criminals by backing up your data

However, stealing data is not always the main goal for hackers, sometimes they want to corrupt or erase files. Keeping your information in an external hard drive or cloud-based storage system eliminates this problem, meaning you can rely on a fail-safe solution for a solid recovery plan.

To back up your data on Windows 10, you need to:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click Update & Security
  3. Press the Backup tab
  4. Select Add a drive and choose which external drive/network location for your backups

In the instance that you ever need to restore your data, all you need to do is:

  1. Search ‘restore files’ in the taskbar
  2. Select Restore your files with File History
  3. Locate the files that you need and view all the versions
  4. Once you find the version that you require, click Restore to save it

Whether you’re looking to backup multiple computers for your business or specific files and applications, we have the solution for you. You’re in safe hands with the Infuse cloud. Our flexible Cloud solutions means you can choose what you want backed up and how often, so if the unthinkable was to occur – your business can pick up where you left off and continue.
