Infuse Technology support Derby academy trust with new kits for girls’ football teams

We have ventured out of the digital sphere and entered the footballing world by funding brand-new football kits for the Year 6 girls’ football teams at Allenton Community Primary School and Pear Tree Community Junior School in Derby, both of which are part of the Transform Trust family.

After another successful year, we were keen to look for ways to give back to our local community in Derby. Paul Howard, Managing Director at Infuse Technology, approached Andrew Sharp, Executive Headteacher at Allenton Community Primary School and Pear Tree Community Junior School, about how we could help the schools. New kits were needed for the girls’ football teams and we were happy to provide them.

The two teams had the opportunity to give their new kits a trial run with a friendly derby match between Allenton and Pear Tree on Tuesday 16th May, which saw Allenton emerge triumphant with a final 7-1 score line.

Paul Howard, Managing Director at Infuse Technology, commented: “Derby has been the home of Infuse for more than 20 years. It is important for us as a company to give back and support the local community.”

Paul added:

“We are glad we could provide new kits for the Year 6 girls’ teams at both Pear Tree Junior School and Allenton Primary School, we wish our future Lionesses all the best for the season ahead and beyond.”

Speaking on the donation, Andrew Sharp, Executive Headteacher at Allenton Community Primary School and Pear Tree Community Junior School, said: “As we have seen over the last few years, the profile of girls’ and women’s football has significantly increased. We are delighted to see and encourage the enthusiasm grown from grass roots level at our schools. When Infuse approached us to provide new kits for our girls’ Year Six teams, we were delighted to accept such a generous donation.

“Both schools have had girls’ teams in the past and played in tournaments. However, when they played, they either wore their PE kit or used the main school kit. By having their own purposely purchased kit, we have shown our commitment to the girls and highlighted our strong belief that football is a game for everybody. The girls are so proud of their kit and really look and feel the part now when representing the school. We would all like to thank Infuse so much enabling us to achieve this.”
